Ramat Hovav Industrial Park was established in 1975. Bromine Compounds Ltd and Makhteshim Agan Industries Ltd were the first to relocate their factories from Beer-Sheva to Ramat Hovav. The local industrial council Ramat Hovav was established in 1989. The industrial Park Ramat Hovav is located 12 kilometers from Beer-sheva and sized 5863 acres, of which 1976 acres are used and the rest is designated for future industrial factories. Currently there are 21 factories and industrial facilities on site.

Ramat Hovav local council provides full municipal services for the factories under its jurisdiction and is fully responsible to infrastructure development and public spaces. These responsibilities come in addition to supervision and protection of the environment led by the council.

Algatechnologies is a rapidly expanding biotechnology company, specializing in the commercial cultivation of microalgae residing in Kibutz Ketura in the Arava Desert.

The viewers meet David Ben-Gurion in his desert home in Sde-Boker as his guests and hear his animated character, describing the main events in his life, from his childhood in Płońsk through the stages of his leadership, until his move to the Negev desert. All with special connection and passion to the Negev and his hopes he had for the Jewish people revival trough the development of the desert.

The film was produced for the Ben-Gurion Museum in Sde Boker and the Ben-Gurion Heritage Institute by 900m Productions which resides in Mitspe Ramon involving innovative animation techniques.

The movie follows the efforts of Muhammad Al Wallidi, to revive the old Bedouin tradition of camels’ fares and races among the Bedouins of the Negev. Through out his journey he seeks the old ways of camel training and reaches Wadi Ram in Jordan. In his quest for knowledge and partners that share his dream on the other side of the border; he brings a message of peace and co-existence between countries and nations.

Marco Polo might have been the first to tell the world about the “Bird and Man” phenomenon in the remote country of Mongolia, but there is no doubt that the courageous Kazakh warriors of the Altai Mountains practiced the ancient art of hawking for centuries beforehand; Training their golden eagles to catch rabbits, foxes and even wolves between their stretched out talons.

The movie reveals the unique and amazing relationship between man and a killer bird, established centuries ago and still takes place in the Altai Mountains of Mongolia.

About Ziv Sherzer:

Ziv Sherzer arrived accidentally to Mongolia in 2001. During a long trip around this vast country, he found him self wondering around the Altai Mountains in western Mongolia where he met the Kazak people for the first time. A meeting, soon to become a long continues love affair. The uncompromising hospitality of the local people struck him as well the unique culture and distinctive hunting methods. In 2003 he came again to learn deeply of this culture, spending months leaving with families, spending days riding horse’s exploring the Altai Mountains and the surroundings, along with the Kazak hunters and their eagles. In the winter of 2006 he came back to the Altai, together with a self built ice-sled and video equipment to make his first documentary movie. During a month and a half in frost of -30 he did his way on the frozen Hovd River carrying the ice-sled and meeting families of hunters.
